2017 Goal: Proper At-home Care

January 11, 2017

Most common question I get during facial procedures: Am I using the right products for my skin?

And my first question back to them is what is your biggest concern?

If you are wanting to truly make changes to you skin, record will show you need to make an investment in your skin. By you already clicking on this article, I'd say you are ready to make a change. Unfortunately OTC (over the counter) products are not going to change your skin.

" The biggest difference between over the counter skin care and pharmaceutical grade skin care is not only active ingredients and their amounts, but the level of penetration of products into the skin. OTC products cannot penetrate past the dead tissue layer on the surface of the skin. " From SoundPlaticSurgery.com

However, Pharmaceutical grade skin care products have the ability to penetrate the epidermis, or top layer of skin, to the dermis or lower layer of skin. The dermis is the skin layer where collagen, elastin and pigmentation reside, as well as where our new skin cells are produced. Therefore, to truly target concerns like Pigmentation or loss of collagen you are going to need to use these types of products.

The products we carry here at Reverse are very concentrated. You will not need to use as much of these products as you would need for products OTC or DS. You are only able to purchase pharmecutical grade products at doctors offices and medical spa's. Although the prices can seem a little scary at first, price per month comparisons are less than what you are going to find at Macy's AND will actually WORK!

Okay now for what you all came here for.. I am going to lay out a few of the common concerns I hear most, and what types of products I would suggest for combat them.
