Massage Therapy

Massage is a type of therapy which uses a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart.

How does it work?

A Massage increases oxygen flow in the blood, releases toxins from the muscles and shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid and metabolic wastes. Massages increase circulation and stretch ligaments and tendons, keeping them supple and pliable. All this is accomplished by using several different techniques of hand massage.

What can a Massage treat?

Massage can provide relief from muscular aches, pains, sprains, poor circulation, rheumatic and arthritic conditions and back pain. Massage also encourages the body to function better and relieves stress through lymphatic drainage, circulation, breaking down calcification between nerve pathways and muscle relaxation.

We offer:

 Deep Tissue Massage

A Deep Tissue Massage is a type of massage that releases the tension in the body by using slow, deep strokes pressed across the muscle fiber.

Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone Therapy is a form of massage that uses specially heated stones combined with Swedish-style massage movements. It has healing properties for both the skin and muscles.

Prenatal Massage

During pregnancy, the body goes through many different changes that create stress. A Prenatal Massage is designed to enhance the function of muscles and joints, improve circulation and body tone and relieve mental and physical fatigue.

Reflexology

Reflexology stimulates reflex areas in the hands, feet or ears that correspond to glands and organs in the body. Correct stimulation relieves stress and tension and relaxes the whole body. The purpose of Reflexology is to normalize the body’s functioning, facilitate healing and revitalize total health. It also aids in blood and lymph circulation, strengthens the functioning of the immune system and calms the nervous system.

Soft Tissue Massage

A Soft Tissue Massage aims to alleviate aches, pains and injuries that are attributed to the body’s soft tissues.

Swedish Massage

A Swedish Massage is a type of massage using a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart.
