Skin Specifics Facial

Facials are deep skin treatments that hydrate, cleanse and rejuvenate the skin as well as minimize skin blemishes, dry skin, acne and wrinkles.

Normal Facials are recommended for a client’s first visit and for normal skin that isn’t prone to acne. This gentle, rejuvenating system cleanses, steams and massages the face, leaving a fresh layer of skin. The face is also massaged for a longer period of time during a Normal Facial.

Normal Facials are a simple way to cleanse and rejuvenate your skin.

Acne Facial

Acne Facials are stronger treatments specifically designed for patients who struggle with acne, particularly teenagers and young adults.

  • Step 1: The facial begins with enzyme or glycolic acid exfoliation. Glycolic acid is derived from a group called fruit acids, more commonly known as alpha-hydroxy acids. Glycolic Acid is used to even out skin texture by exfoliating dead cells and lightening discoloration. The process can be used to purge blackheads, congestion and acne.
  • Step 2:
  • A warm vapor mist is used. Humidifiers boil water and create a distilled steam. The mist is used for relaxation as well as opening pores.
  • Step 3:
  • An extensive manual deep pore extraction is performed. The extraction deep cleans clogged pores. Usually a light massage combined with the previous warm vapors opens the pores. A mask also deep cleans pores.

Facial Peels

Alpha-hydroxy Acid Facials are rejuvenating skin care treatments that promote the shedding of sun-damaged surface cells on the face so that new, youthful skin can grow. There are three different types of acids used to create different levels of the Alpha-hydroxy Acid Facial.

  • Glycolic Acid:
  • Glycolic Acid is the most commonly known and used acid. It has a very strong effect and is used mostly in chemical peels and serums because of its deep exfoliation properties.
  • Salicylic Acid:
  • This acid is more commonly known as a beta-hydroxy rather than an alpha-hydroxy. It is used to unclog pores and reduce the appearance of fine lines.
  • Lactic Acid:
  • Lactic Acid originates from sour milk and is used to hydrate and moisturize the skin. Many therapies using Lactic Acid include a sour milk bath.

Peels should be used by anyone who wishes to freshen their skin and renew collagen growth. However, those who have problems with acne, fine lines, brown spots and dry skin benefit most from peels.

The facial removes the outer layer of dead cells, leaving a fresh layer of skin growth. The new skin layer will be healthier and may even have more color than the previous layer. The more times the facial is performed, the deeper the skin absorbs the mask and the more results can be seen.

Collagen Facial

A Collagen Facial completely rejuvenates the face and leaves skin feeling new and beautiful. The process is simple, safe, appropriate for all skin types and provides immediate results. The Collagen Facial package includes exfoliation, warm vapor, deep pore cleansing, lymph drainage and a healing paraffin mask with freeze dried collagen.

Collagen is the rich protein that is the main structure of skin. The freeze dried collagen is used to plump the skin and fill in fine lines. When collagen is applied to the skin, it provides a nourishing layer that promotes moisture and smoothes the skin’s surface.

This treatment also protects from environmental damage, fine lines and dark circles. It is a wonderful way to pamper yourself and benefit your face.

Pumpkin Peel

The Pumpkin Facial is a beneficial treatment commonly used for the face, but it can also be used for the body, hands and feet. The alpha-hydroxy acids in the pumpkin promote smoother, more youthful looking skin by increasing the speed of cell renewal.

The natural pumpkin botanicals offer antioxidants and enzymes that rejuvenate the skin’s surface and brighten complexions. Pumpkins contain over one hundred beneficial nutrients that refresh and revitalize the skin.

You can also have a pumpkin manicure or pedicure to rejuvenate your hands and feet. The mask contains vitamins such as Vitamin A, which aids in skin healing, Vitamin C, which is an anti-oxidant, and Zinc, which soothes and moisturizes.

Because of the way the pumpkin interacts with the skin, it allows for a deeper absorption of ingredients than most facials, creating a more intensive experience and better results.

The mask is applied as a thin layer to the cleansed face or desired body part. After sitting for the allotted time, depending on skin type and consistency of ingredients, the mask is rinsed off. A gentle tingling may occur during the facial process.

Advance Anti-Aging Facial

This facial is composed of a cleansing massage and rejuvenating mask. It specifically tones the skin and targets dark circles under the eyes, creating a younger appearance.

This facial has long lasting results, stimulating cellular activity. This facial is commonly used for those over the age of forty.
