Fillers Restylane-L® or Perlane-L?

 Restylane®/Perlane are non-surgical, non-invasive cosmetic treatments which can be combined to revitalize the face.

How does the treatment work?

Restylane®/Perlane is injected in small amounts underneath the skin to fill in creases, lines, wrinkles and folds. To maximize comfort, an anesthetic topical cream or anesthetic block may be administered. These products now offer Lidocaine in the product to minimize discomfort.


Are there any possible side effects?

Possible side effects include swelling, redness and, in some cases, bruising. Generally these side effects are non-threatening and disappear within a couple of days.

Will there be any downtime?

You may resume normal activities immediately. Some redness and swelling is expected from the treatment and will vary with each client.

How soon will results appear?

Your results will be visible after any swelling diminishes.

How long does a Botox® Cosmetic and Restylane® session last?

Sessions are generally short, and their duration depends on the number of injections required.

How long do the results last?

Restylane/Perlane® lasts around six to twelve months.

What are the alternative treatments?

There is an assortment of other treatments including other injectables, such as collagen, and chemical peels.

Instructions for before treatment:

Before treatment, be sure to tell your doctor about any allergies you have. Discuss any serious medical conditions and medications you are currently taking. Carefully follow any instructions given to you. Avoid alcoholic beverages and anti-inflammatory, aspirin medications before treatment. Schedule your appointment at least two weeks prior to any special events to allow time to heal.

Instructions for after treatment:

Treat any mild discomfort with Tylenol, and expect temporary swelling. If desired, an icepack can be applied after treatment. Do not massage the treated areas.
